[Kyoko listens, her eyes trailing over him. She smiles a little, thinking that her own father might turn in his grave if his daughter chose to remember him in such a way. The church had a strict health code; the body was a temple, and imprinting ink on it was to spur God's gifts. But she has her own reminders--not on her skin, but imprinted upon her soul, worn up and hidden away, coded into her by God so that she might never look in the mirror without remembering the parents she was born from.

It's a little sad sometimes, but she's grateful for the reminders. She'd rather suffer a lifetime of despair than forget.

She giggles, unable to help it. He's always like this--a dumb, serious-minded person who she shouldn't have anything in common with, but does anyway. A little, anyway.]

Hehe... I should've known it'd be something like that.

[She reaches over to tug on his cheek. It's teasing, but it's light and not unpleasant.]

Even though you always act so tough, you're a surprisingly sentimental guy... Hehe. I bet you just hide it 'cause you're still worried about being made fun of. Mm, I'd def-initely expect people to make jokes about that.

[He'll probably get mad if she just leaves it like that, going on about how he doesn't hide it (and he'd probably just beat up anyone who made fun of him for it anyway,) she's just inappropriate! ... Or something like that.

Sentimental, but as dumb as any boy. She sighs.]

Well... To be honest, I'd rather be able to do that, but... Well, you know! I've got stuff that I can't really afford to forget either, y'know.

[Things. People. The way things were, the way they really are, is only alive in her memory now... It's probably something like that for him, too. She has to look away at the end, embarrassed by her own words and thoughts.]
